Star spangled silk over urgent waters,

When the half-moon drifts in the milky skies,

Carefully daubed in ancient ochre by the skillful hands of Father,

Then a sapphire brimming o’er the tear,

A raindrop, or two,

“Look, it’s started to rain,” my mum says,

We then sit and watch the symphony of Nature unfurl…

(Am I cheating on the #julydailyword ??? Because I feel like I am!!! Also: wink wink. )
