NaPoWriMo #10 – Madness

A sanctity
for unbridled
creativity,

a rock-solid place
to seek shelter
and draw comfort from.

Yet another reason for
the misunderstood,

to be called insane –

  1. This actually s a great little poem.

Remember, they don’t have to be “good” to be a poem. The challenge is to just write 30 poem-things in 30 days. It really DOESN’T matter how “good” any of them are. This is a writing challenge, not an “excellence” challenge.Besides, these poems may become the foundation for other poems later on, poems you have more time to create and refine. So consider this just a fun exercise that will lead to better things later.

So don’t worry about running out of juice or being uninspired. That is NOT necessary.

Just write, then “worry” about them in May!! 🙂

    1. Worrying about them in May… that’s a nice thought to consider…*pencils into notebook* Thanks, Daniel – being anally retentive is my secret weakness. But it’s been really fun just ‘letting go’ and seeing what comes up from the pools…

      1. Being anal retentive is a positive thing in some circumstances and a hinderance in others. So being anal-retentive is fine. Be who you are, and don’t let it keep you from trying your best.

Besides, you are a very good writer… your “garbage” is still better than some people’s best work…even though comparing ourselves to others is a waste of time. 🙂
